Energy & Market Control Geopolitical Signaling (Hegemony Maintenance) Dollar System Protection Domestic Politics & Optics Venezuela is Washington’s business because it threatens U.S. control over energy flows, regional dominance, and the dollar-based global order...and empires don’t ignore challenges, especially in their own backyard
Is it not simply oil and control? On the surface they blame narcotics. Feels abit like the WMD pretext for the Iraq war. It's non of DCs business but they take what they want. I feel bad for the people because they are the ones who will get hurt the most.
Venezuela matters to Washington because it sits in a strategically critical region close to the U.S., holds the world’s largest proven oil reserves, and its collapse drives migration that eventually impacts U.S. domestic politics. At the same time, the growing influence of Russia, China, and Iran there is seen as a direct challenge to U.S. dominance in the Western Hemisphere. In short, it is about power, stability, and credibility, not just ideology or democracy.
Playing devil's advocate: The unstable society of Venezuela, mostly caused by fiat currency, poses a threat to the interests of the United States (the biggest issuer of fiat currency). The US is going to make the Federal Reserve note the money of Venezuela, or at least have it tied to a new colonial currency like with the African CFA, and closely "ally" themselves with the state they ultimately will fully control. The US has entered the Empire stage of fiat states, it is forcibly overthrowing the current fiat Mafia in order to replace it with subservience to ours. The US is speed running the collapse of empire, and Bitcoin is here to pickup the pieces.
