We lost one of the largest social networks in the world and Brazil is going through a worldwide embarrassment because of this minister's actions. He is certainly doing a good job.
If the law tells an ISP to block an illegal site and you refuse, you are also going against the law. You might not like it because it is affecting your fav billionaire of the day, but the law is the law like it or not.

Totally agree. Organic engagement on Nostr is way more genuine and impactful than inflated numbers on centralized platforms.
I mean, many nostriches may be hesitant to engage at the risk of being #replyguy π€£

How much of this bump do you think was actually new users from Brazil?
My guess is that most of these were Bitcoiners reactivating after reading about Telegram and Brazil. Could also be a post conference bump. And, ofc, we've been growing steadily for ~6mos. It seems like folks are returning and sticking around due to better app experiences, interoperability, etc. One great example is that returning Bitcoiners are now able to link their npub to their @Fountain account and a have much richer experience with a pre-populated social graph like Breaker back in the day.
