favorite quote from this conversation, Preston dishing fire on why nostr feels different and big following npubs sound more authentic "I think that when I'm posting on #Nostr, I know that I'm talking to people that are part of the resistance, and know they're part of the resistance. There's no fake people over there, they're there for the right reasons, they're there because they want free speech and open money without asking for permission from anybody." πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ View quoted note β†’
@preston I just got done listening to this interview which motivated me to create this account and post for the first time ever on any social media. I've been a long time lurker on X/Twitter but feel drawn to actually engage and participate in the conversation here on Nostr/Primal. Thanks for all the great content you create and I look forward to potentially interacting with you and others on this decentralized platform!
Just did the same recently! Never had a twitter account either haha so went from old fart to cutting edge πŸ˜‚ But I will say, it IS still a little too difficult for the fully novice non-orange pilled. You have to really want to be a part of this change and how it works to make enough of an effort to get yourself fully set up right. But we are on our way for sure. And following @jb55 and seeing all the things he is posting about for the future makes me that much more excited and confident we will get there. πŸ‘
This episode was phenomenal! I love the way Miljan presented this to a non-nostr audience. I was also reminded of Facebook's failed Libra/Diem project as I watched the live zap demonstration. I also loved Preston's rant and how he called us "The resistance.” It's funny to me because my wife jokes about me being part of "The Resistance" all the time.
I loved this episode, especially when you dived into how content moderation would work on a decentralised protocol. I think this is a really important part of the conversation when trying to convince normies that we don't need an institutions making these decisions for us while also acknowledging that there will be people trying to post obscene material and we need tools to deal with that
