These last few days, I've looked a lot at various issues for graphics tablets on Linux, which made me have very informative discussions with @Peter Hutterer. 💬
There is quite some data to digest, but that could lead to interesting enhancements in graphics tablet configuration after @GIMP 3.2 is released… 🤔

While we are very actively working 🧑💻 on preparing the release for @GIMP 3.2.0 RC2, I also took some time on the side to plan ahead the future of GIMP.
This is how I came up with the 2 roadmaps for versions 3.4 and 3.6 which I shared 2 weeks ago.

Enjoy the read everyone! 🤗
As a side project, to relax from maintenance and preparation of @GIMP 3.2, I have been looking into our experimental "Paint Select" tool.
The tool is still hidden under a Playground settings, mostly for performance reason. I am in early review and experimentation on it, but it feels like we can really improve things, both algorithmically and UX/UI wise.
Here is me making a quick selection of Mia, official mianager of the LILA non-profit film production:

🥳 Happy ㉊th birthday, @GIMP ! 🎂
In 1995, November 11, a young US student, Peter Mattis, announces a program on some Linux newsgroups, called "The GIMP: the General Image Manipulation Program". 2 years later, Spencer Kimball (other co-author) and Peter graduate and leave.
Thanks to the #GPL license, the community take over development.
30 years later… The project is thriving, with contributors from all over the world, and maintainers from Germany, Norway, France, Korea, Netherlands… 🤗
