Are these the ones that give pebbles as romantic gifts in an attempt to woo prospective mates?
From what I've learned, Gentoo and Adelie penguins do the pebbling. They also collect pebbles to build their nest. The rock hopper is a Chinstrap.

My kid is part penguin apparently. He used to always have some kind of rock to give to me 💜☺️.
