It's official. For domestic family travel, I'm now a roadtrip maximalist.

Yes. The experience degrades like the US dollar.
Agreed. Road trips makes sense especially if more people need to go together. Your kids must be loving it.

This has been my stance for the past two years-ish.
Someone was crowing about how Trump's new law would eliminate having to take off your shoes for the TSA but forgot to mention that the digital Real ID card would be used by Palantir for Social Credit Scoring someday.

As all of us over a certain age know, air travel keeps getting worse. At some point, it ceases to be worth it for a family. I'm at that point.
So much better than flying.
