No surprise... incumbent status is reached when you've managed to solidify a plan that will keep your life stable until the end. Almost shameful to contrast a reserve (which the intention is to "preserve") against a basket that has such high debt associated with it, not to mention that using it, means you are bound to the regulations they decide.
Sounds like a great plan to preserve the USD. But that's not the job of the UK... unless they feel the USD is too big to fail? π§
Stable!!!! β¦β¦. Stable grind to zero more likeβ¦..Bitcoin has been a historically highly volatile asset relative to stable fiat currencies like the US dollar, and commodities, such as gold. This volatility makes Bitcoin unsuitable as a reserve asset for the UK.
It will be so fun to watch the UK back pedal on this sooner than later.
The quality of thinking in parliament is shocking. Just listen to @Rt Hon Steve Baker FRSA talking about it recently with @npub14mcd...frlx
