I’m starting to think this pattern of interaction is a natural outgrowth from this format of internet interaction. It’s such a hook, and I fear it’ll just grow on Nostr, just as it thrives on Twitter.
Make a purity statement > act appalled when people have reasonable disagreements with the totality of the statement > frame all pushback as diametrical opposition and usually proof of moral corruption.
Then just keep picking at the scab as long as it gets attention.
Conversations like this are just kinda buried.
It’ll keep happening because it works.
