I find 50 million hard to believe. Certainly not on chain, this we can reasonably infer as there are only roughly 150 million unspent transaction outputs (utxo) and most wallets hold several utxo’s.
Gold number is double or more what it says here.
Probably because it takes less effort to buy a crypto currency on the internet than go out and acquire gold.
