Do no harm. Take no shit.
I heard it is toxic and should be avoided.
I wear a cloth mask everywhere to avoid catching it.

Apparently you express masculinity in 2024 by carrying a clutch bag for your tampons and make up or what ever it is young lads put in those fecking handbags they're carrying.
It ain't what I remember as being masculine...but hey ho...
Thus touches on why i started doing these to learn about each others views without fighting about it.

The Yin to Feminine Yang
Honor. None of this matters without an orientation towards bringing honor to your "us" .
The word is nearly banished and gone. Without it we are just fancy chimps. We need it back.

That is very interesting i fully agree honor is important to have but in my view that is more a universal thing but i think i get how you link the two
Honor used to be a universal value. It has faded from conversation and prominence and centrality. Without the orientation to honourable behaviour ppl have find it difficult to be consistently kind, generous, selfless, brave, strong etc. not a judgement. just an observation.
Itβs a presence of mind within the males make up, pertaining to how they take care, (support, nurture, love, discipline) those that are more vulnerable than themselves.
Most ppl describe it in a physical sense, but once you feel and see it in a human, especially a man, (father, husband, boyfriend, son, nephew) in a spiritual or personality trait) it becomes increasingly obvious if a man inhabits his masculinity.
We have not evolved too differently over 100,000 years. A good man who inhabits his masculinity, still ultimately wants to provide for his family. If they get it right, itβs a powerful life force.
I can relate to the spiritual side of your definition
I actually really like how you worded it π€π€
Thank you for the thought provoking questions. ππ
It is the embodiment of the virtues, especially courage, fortitude, patience, justice, temperance, and prudence. It is physical prowess with a spirit that needs not use it. It is confidence is one's abilities without the need to prove it. It seeks beauty to cherish, foster, and protect. It is the initiator, sustainer, and grower.
Shark surfing.

This question is way too broad.
But I'll just make a few points.
Masculinity is the opposite of femininity.
And what is femininity?
One important part of it is operating on a highly emotional plane.
Thus, masculinity is the ability to use logic and rationalise in situations where a woman would be emotional and not really think (or care) about certain consequences.
If a woman freaks out about something trivial, and you as a man allow yourself to go down the emotional path with her, you're not helping anyone. She needs you to keep a cool head as much as possible. Many may say that they want a man that's more in touch with their feminine side but they really don't. They can't look at a guy like that and feel safe in that relationship. A man needs to also not let himself be disrespected, especially not by his woman. If he does, she will again feel like she's unsafe, because if he tolerates such behaviour from her, she thinks he'll accept it from anyone. A man needs to work every day at staying attractive to his woman, because attraction works veeeery different for them.
I'm gonna end it here because I gotta go pick my kid up from school now haha, have a nice day.
now do all the things without dishonoring yourself or better yet while bringing honor to your "us". your us deserve your best self.
The masculine provides and protects and is decisive. They know their mission in life and take charge.
If youβre up for it, I recommend reading D.C. Schindlerβs βPerfect Differenceβ on this topic of gender and roles.

There's an interesting section about men/masculinity in the latest Huberman podcast.
It starts at the 1h 27m mark.
Thabks for sharing currently enjoying life but will give it a look later
π€ The entire episode is great.
Being confident. Being responsible for yourself and for others. Also being strong enough to know when to ask for help (in all aspects of life).
Being strong to ask for help π€π€ i love that
Karnageβs definition also resonates with me π«‘
Same but @PringleMac brought up a spiritual definition and i can relate to that too the human mind is very interesting
Just read it. Yes itβs a great definition. I love that it seems like a simple concept. But ultimately very complex (with multiple valid definitions)
