Certified “Organic” is mostly the honor system. Inspections are done once a year. Especially If you’re buying produce from small producers. There’s just too much incentive to use effective treatments rather than lose an entire crop just to be ethical. —Its just common sense. 🧡👊🏻🍻
If you look at the actual standards in order to receive the “organic” certification it is far beneath what you would envision “organic” to be. The certification process is a global scam to keep the status quo as it is, it is so expensive for a small timer to do the process and get certificated that they can’t and thus they can’t really enter the market because everyone is looking for these organic or whatever else certified. So we have to create our own ways of evidencing the source of produce, which is easy for us. This is the value, not the USDA bullshit! Who funds these guys anyway??
