It’s voluntary option you can turn off, for now….
You can turn off the notifications, but the footage is on THEIR servers. you really believe they aren't just doing it as a matter of fact? There's absolutely nothing stopping them from doing as they wish with the data on their servers.
We did agree to that garbage, because we bought those.
I never did, and neither did my folks.
