Quick review of Aegis Relay: First of all. Thanks to @utxo the webmaster 🧑‍💻 for putting this together. The name aegis is a bit nostalgic for me since I played Dota 2 for quite some time - Aegis is an important item in the game that everyone seeks. Installation instructions were clear - they require some expertise, but nothing chatGPT can't resolve. Installation took roughly 10-15 minutes after setting up a cloudVM (5 minutes). If you have installed any of UTXO, or any relay for that matter, the process is exactly the same. - There is one extra step but its is very easy to complete. The negative: The extra step... requires KYC. I wish UTXO can set it up in a different way. But I understand. Relay works as advertised! You visit the website, paste your npub, pay an invoice, and you get a notification "Payment received", The npub will be whitelisted and you can send notes immediately. If you setup the relay online - it is very fast. Why is this important? The easier it gets to setup relays like this - Especially private ones - The easier it is to build communities.
