Biden announced he is not running for president on Twitter, a centralized company, via an account for which it is understood he doesn’t control directly. When thinking about the future, this feels like such archaic technology in the present. This is a world where the SEC account was compromised not that long ago and posted market-moving false information. If a president has nuclear codes, he arguably should also have a signing key for any important communications.

Agreed - it seems like β€œforcing blockchain into everything” at first, but you quickly realize the very real use case with how many impersonators there are on social media now adays. With how often official updates are announced on social media in today, it’s not hard to see how it could be a national security concern.
Well, think about it: most senators, congress men, and politicians are well into their sixties at minimum, many at seventies and eighties. I think there has not been such a generational difference between general population and politicians ever. A sign of decrepitude and dementia, which is very appropriate to describe the state of the entire nation.
