I'm seeing a lot of new Nostriches on Nostr. This flock is alive and flourishing. Given a long enough timeline, everyone will use Nostr and most won't even know it. Do people realize they're using smtp, pop3, imap? No. They just use their favorite email app. This will happen with Nostr too. They'll just use their favorite social app. Keep building.

I am one of those new Nostriches...
Over the years, I was hesitant to create much content and engage digitally on legacy social media because I knew my content and followers will be gone if the "favorite" social media app goes way, and when new trendy apps pop up, I have to start from scratch since there is no portability.
When I heard about the #NOSTR protocol, I didn't need much convincing as it solves not the portability problem, but it also offers other great benefits.
Can this digital ministry survive and thrive without being present on legacy social media? I believe so!
I am here for the long run as I want to be the beneficiary and the promoter and supporter of #freedom tech!
#NOSTR only

Pretty new to NOSTR, and it seemed at first to be kind of a firehouse of nonsense on Amethyst app on Android, but I have Openvibe linking that, Mastodon, Bluesky, and soon Threads. NOSTR on the Openvibe app seems actually to be pretty good so far.
