did 2 lessons. got 100% of answers right. it feels TOO easy, in the sense that i don't feel challenged and it is kind of disappointing in that way but as i said - i know from using other programs when you feel challenged it feels good at first but you get fatigued after about an hour.
Dissident Sound
Babbel is really easy. It's made for retards. But that's good because when you do hard lessons you get fatigued fast. If you want to get good at a language you will have to put in a lot of hours so the lessons should be easy so you aren't fatigued in that time.

Never used babble, it's it kind of like Duolingo?
I tried learning Japanese on Duolingo for a year.
It felt like I made a lot of progress, but I noticed I understood nothing in real content 🥴
At the moment I use migaku and they have a heavy focus on learning from native content.
It's pretty cool 😎
i tried duolingo for 5 minutes and thought it was some kind of a joke
the thing about real content is it is very context specific - you CAN become fluent in SPECIFIC CONTEXTS.
for example you might learn German only in the context of Mechanical Engineering and French only in the context of Love etc.
it would probably require actually moving to the country for a couple years to go beyond that.
even in English i have pretty deep vocabulary if i have to describe something related to audio reproduction but if i had to speak on a subject unfamiliar to me i would have the vocabulary level of a kindergartener.
Yes, Duolingo is absolute shit 😂
I like the immersion method, because you can find content on every topic, and just consume it to learn more 😎
a good ancient method is to find the same text in both your native and target language and read them side by side. most great books are translated into basically every language so this is easy to set up.
the key is that the text has to be something you actually find interesting. it can't be some random text about some irrelevant subject. being INTERESTED in the subject matter is what will make the difference between success and failure.
