Ralph Waldo Emerson is one of my favourite authors. Self-Reliance, while authored almost 200 years ago, still rings so true today.
And has a lot of alignment with self-sovereignty and decentralist beliefs.
"Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could."
Apparently this quoted piece is a mashup of Emersonβs 1870 essay and an 1854 letter to his daughter, Ellen. He told her: "Tomorrow is too dear for old nonsense."
I like that.
Thank you for sharing this. I needed this reminder. A good way to start my Friday. Someday I am going to read The "Over-Soul," by Emerson. It's an essay. It's supposed to be good.
