They are compliant
Ads can be funny sometimes π
Depending on what you browse and how you try to block, running ad blockers can be a pretty headache-y tradeoff.
What's the opinion of browsers like brave with built in adblock. I just turn off all the crapto stuff and the tracking stuff.

Because you want to see the broken state of the web ... And wish AI to destroy around 99 percent of all click bait websites out there ..
How does AI do that?
AI is going to curtain 99 percent of click bait web sites .. cuz no one is ever going to visit those pages .. only super quality content shall survive .. that too because AI do want to have some human compete .. to make it appear a smooth churn ..
#w3m is the best as blocker .. no java script please

I did not learn about the Brave browser until about a year ago, which is kind of embarrassing. Big tech doesn't advertise privacy preserving tools, and they actually do a great job hiding them in my opinion.
Also, I'd like to complain about website cookies for a minute. Cookie Accept/Reject windows/prompts are deceptive. WTF is a necessary cookie anyway? Those are how I justify my 2nd or 3rd chocolate chip cookie to my wife.
The answer should always be by default to REJECT ALL COOKIES. There should be less fine print for cookies... like I'm accepting the Terms & Conditions drafted by a bitch-ass lawyer for a Big Tech app's consent to probe my butthole (aka share my data).
I've been using ad blockers for 5 years or longer, from my experience most people are computer illiterate and don't understand af blockers or computers, that's why
They might be afraid the be caught using ad blockers - doing something illegal. They might be afraid to get in trouble with the state.
"Because it is our duty as a citizen to consume ads, isn't it?"
It is your duty... to consume..

I donβt mind well targeted ads for businesses that I want to support.
If a siteβs ads are onerous or low quality, Iβm unlikely to return.
Thereβs the occasional exception where I use archive.is
Maybe Iβm dumb!
they're very generous in subsidizing our platform usage π
I self-host adguard home. Life's good. π
I've heard people say it's their form of patronage! I don't buy it F that noise
IT guy I know said hes happy google read his email and loves onedrive. Another unknown myatery
Proudly having nothing to hide.
That's when you know that something is definitely off.

A lot of smart people with no distrust of authority will let their enemies hijack their brain power and justify their positions for them.
In this case, they will be too lazy to bother installing an extension in 30s and rationalize that laziness with random arguments when pressed.
i learned to alter my state of consciousness bc an ad
There's no such thing in Lynx.
When I go to the grocery store, I pay for my groceries.
Most of the time it's just pure laziness
They got well paid jobs at g00gle selling adsβ¦
Lots of smart people in the world do use Gmail. How do you explain this?
They are retarded.
In my experience, they donβt care. Itβs not worth it to them
Bizarre to me
In their defense, ad blocker sometimes making websites unusable.
Adguard home running on a $5/month linode server
I don't use services that require ads for their revenue stream
There is no "smart people".
Certainly not you.
The more βtoolsβ you install on your devices the more DOORS πͺ to install for criminals to use!!
1) They donβt know that you can actually do it, or
2) βAhβ¦ I wanted to install the blockerβ¦ but not now, next timeβ
If there were no ads, how will anyone be to tell us to buy things we don't need?
