Why is 6ft cat 8 the same price as 1.5 ft of cat 8? Why is two 6ft cat 6 only a dollar more than one 4ft cat 6?
I feel like it’s the hotdogs and hotdog buns mismatch all over again

My guess is 1.5 is in higher demand so they mark it up. Same with the 4 foot.
Why you no buy a 100ft or larger roll
Because I’m too cheap to buy a crimper and tester even though I would save money and mental sanity
On connectorized pigtails most of the cost relies on the connectorizing process. And then you have to manage stocks and get rid of low rotation articles.
If you want to minimise cable price, get a crimper and buy a long roll of cable and the connectors that suit you.
That's the trade off, price vs simplicity.
