My wife and I just throw a somewhat risky "get to know your neighbors" party in our apartment. Nobody knew each other in spite of living just a few feet away. Whole floor invited. Everybody came. Very different backgrounds, lots of fun just telling stories. A 3hr party became 6hrs. Huge success. A good reminder that good things do happen when you give them a chance.

THIS IS INSANE... Hear me out... I just bumped into a press release about a launch of an online dating site, Frisky Silvers, for old people. There was something about the name (Frisky Silvers) that it stuck with me. So, when I read your post, I mistakenly read β€œrisky” as β€œfrisky”. β€œMy wife and I just throw a somewhat frisky "get to know your neighbors" party in our apartment. Nobody knew each other in spite of living just a few feet away. Whole floor invited. Everybody came. Very different backgrounds, lots of fun just telling stories. A 3hr party became 6hrs. Huge success. A good reminder that good things do happen when you give them a chance.” I thought to myself that β€œwow, that was one crazy idea that could have ended up really badly for you and your wife, but thank God the whole building is full of swingers or swinger wannabes”. I read through some of the first comments, like … DreMik: "Wonderful, but don't make the failure to repeat it! Wait at least 1 or two years.” Connie: β€œLove it!” Ready to Prepare: β€œVery nice decision from opsec point of view πŸ™Œβ€ … and after reading them I still thought that you had decided to throw β€œa somewhat frisky get to know your neighbors party”. It was only after I read the fourth comment (Dad Guy’s comment) that I decided to re-read your post. Wow, what a crazy rollercoaster of emotions... Anyway, congratulations on the party!
