"Celebrates drop to 2% inflation". Unless there is negative inflation every year for at least a decade there is nothing to celebrate. It's like if a country in a war would say : we celebrate a drop of 5% in the number of people killed in our war, down to 95'000 this year. There is still 195k people killed in the last 2 years and no way to bring them back. We will never regain the puchasing power of the 70s, we will never be able to buy a decent house in a good area that worth 2-3 years of average salary with a couple month worth salary as down payment. We just get fucked deeper at a slower pace, but we get fucked deep by gouvernements no matter what, as long as they control our money.
