The amount of bitcoiners cheering on the State and regime change has been astounding and disappointing.
I thought we were all about defunding the war machine and against the expansion of the petrodollarβ¦

So you donβt think bitcoin is for enemies?
Where did I say that? And how does that fit into my argument about bitcoiners cheering on regime change in a foreign country?
So the USA government can just steal Bitcoin from its enemies?
That's how the US acquires its Bitcoin, yes.
Yesterday it was dictators, tomorrow we are also the enemy.
Tomorrow?
You said that the moment you defined how bitcoiners think.
Tomorrow, next week... soon, but inevitably.
Encryption is already deemed hostile to the state in parts of Europe. That's just the way I like it.
The US government will take whatever they want. It's what they do.
As is we are just one big happy family.
Like, are dollar enjoyers a big homogeneous community too? Wtf
Agree. Itβs disgusting. Sad to see so many american βPlEbSβ cheering for their regime π€‘β¦biggest accounts on Nostrβ¦i thought we made more progress
My thoughts exactly
I'm honestly glad they revealed themselves.
Imagine how much damage they could do if they didn't reveal themselves.
All these war mongers that have been preaching bitcoin to end war suddenly let their masks slip.
Very sad and disturbing but many bitcoiners/ some with big accounts / are plain stupid. They drink propaganda like cool aid. They cheer Maduro being literally kidnapped by Trump just like they cheer Zionist Milei who is selling them cheap bullshit. Too many bitcoiners are simping on politicians praying for them to do something so the fiat value of bitcoin goes up. Same with thing with Iran which they know nothing about but if Trump says we fighting the regime they cheer for bombing Iran.
In the same time Israel slaughters Gaza for two years straight and bitcoiners have nothing to say about it.
π«΅
Gaza / Israel in particular very silent. Itβs bizarre. Any time I bring it up I get crickets π¦
2025 was a year of major disappointment for me in regards to bitcoiners in general. Not gonna lie, made me somewhat hopeless about the state of things. But, Iβm trying to see the positives where I can find them.
For a lot of bitcoin people the Gaza Genocide did not happen but they have so much to say about Ukraine, Iran, Venezuela. This says everything. They mostly repeat the western propaganda points and they lack basic critical thinking.
Itβs weird af. I donβt get it. But maybe it makes perfect sense β¦
It has nothing to do with Bitcoin. It doesn't care nor it changes. It is the people who pretend to be bitcoin revolutionaries. They are the problem.
I think I saw a glimpse of the lack of critical thinking in the bitcoin community and that was a huge disappointment.
Ser Bitcoiners es incompatible con ser polΓtico; y esto muchos todavΓa no se han enterado π΅βπ«
Myself, I'm very hopeful. I see a rising awareness of the crimes of the Jewish power structure, especially since their slaughter in Gaza began. It's especially hopeful to see more and more people, including so many bitcoiners, see the connection between that power structure and the evil, corrupt financial system. Don't bother counting your enemies, they've long ago reached saturation level among their own Tribe and the easily deluded, and can't grow much. Instead, count your friends, the number of whom is going up every day.
The world forgot to think critically. Robotsβ¦
It all goes back to the war of the world broadcast. π π§
Reality confronts the narrative they had swallowed. Not easy to admit you got fooled.
On the other hand though, there is silence about Sudan and other places.
The racists are useful idiots here. By spreading their BS they make it socially unacceptable to call out Israel. For people with certain appearance especially, saying Israel did something wrong could be social suicide.
As long as the racists persist regular people will feel uncomfortable speaking up.
Good job racists, you are giving them the power to do all the things you fear by being dipshits.
It should be self evident I would think that any time anyone talks about any country, they are talking about the elected or unelected leadership and not all people. I talk shit about US all the time and Iβm clearly not talking about the average person living out their lives. To say that itβs somehow racist to call out a country as a whole is just buying into the propaganda.
The US is very mixed race. Try it with Chinese, Japanese, or Somali and people will line up to call you racist there too.
I think Israel's leadership is actively exploiting that while the other 3 aren't.
Government exists through consent of the governed. Maybe not all the governed but enough are playing along that they get to continue. In that way the government is always a reflection of the people as a whole. I don't consent or approve of my government but I know that many fellow citizens do or we'd break out the guillotines.
I get you, many in bitcoin disappoint me in their views, not as bad as altcoiners, but sometimes I wonder...
I see a lot of hope in bitcoin though. Look at all the projects such as Fedi and Cashu, Lightning gets more reliable, bitchat, etc.
(I know we get Monero bros shilling their alt on here, but without any widescale adoption, do any of them even build apps on their little platform? I always wonder about that...)
But, keep on keeping on
But Carla, don't you hate communist dictators?
π
The real plebs, with real incentives and real intend. You will find in the xmr / Monero community. It is not the money talking, but people.
#xmr #monero
Mass adoption is always disappointing π₯Ή
Like a lot of βdreamersβ, Iβm also sad of the turn of events for Bitcoin.
Iβm not so sure about the self custody part in future since black Rock fidelity and the all USA finance integration π
That's why they're "bitcoiners" instead of using monero.
They'll easily cheer for a virtual coins thinking they have privacy and then close their ears when obvious that it is only a casino coin.
Can't control what ya don't know!
This is why Fedi is such cool tech. No need for altcoins with little real adoption, like Monero...lol Just keep building on layer 2-3 bitcoin. Monero will probably never have a real percentage market adoption or liquidity.
Fun to see Monero bros try to pump their brand of alt on nostr though. ππ
Feel you.
Commies getting wrecked is beautiful. But it shall be done by the people, not by a foreign state with military force and their own interests...
That's moving from one tyranny into another while celebrating it.
Madness...
It's crazy how many retards can't tell the difference between nationalists and communists.
You dont know how power works. Never has a communist regime been overthrown without assistance from a foreign state actor, neither has one been instituted without the same.
I think a lot of people are sympathetic to Venezuelans being liberated from dictatorship and hyperinflation. While US intervention isnt ideal in theory, this is a chance to do redefine their future. People are cheering for that. How is anyone gonna be mad when the first ones to be concerned are ecstatic about it?
Ironically, people cheer for freedom even if it comes at the expense of geopolitical moves that fly way above their heads. While state violence isn't an absolute good, it can liberate people from more senseless and chaotic violence. I can tell you that in Brazil people cheer when the police guns down narcos and violent criminals, despite what NGOs and foreign human rights will say. No one will complain of state violence there.
Zionist clown
Surprisingly, this has nothing to do with Israel...
Nothing at all! πΆ
Yes. Most of bitcoiners are just brainwashed imperialists that love to parrot their leader
Most? I doubt that. It's some US influencers drunk on the display of strength. Keep the receipts and call them out next year.
No cheering here
Bombs are bombs
Should never be dropped
Seen some interesting takes on why Venezuelans are actually quite keen on the US turning up
Opinions everywhere of course
I am a nationalist and America is my nation. I am not a universalist nor a globalist. I want what is best for Americans and I want America placed first.
China was setting up shop in LatAm, having it's own "opium war" against the US, and these greasy countries were cooperating to enrich themselves.
This is our hemisphere and China deserved to be embarrassed in this way and Venezuela deserves to become a vassal to the US, which is much better for their people than being owned by cartels and China.
Long, even medium term, after reset, I see #Bitcoin replacing the current fiat order, but I do not see "the war machine" ever going way, since the nature of war is being commodified by drones and AI.

Your husband is still defending shitcoining on Bitcoin, so idkβ¦ π€·ββοΈ
I remember buying bitcoin shirts many years ago and being kinda proud to wear them. Then i realized that one day bitcoin would just be money, nothing special, and shirts with Bitcoin would be like wearing a dollar sign shirt todayβa little gauche.
Not everyone in Bitcoin is in it for the cypher punk sound money utopia anymore and thatβs ok, thatβs what winning looks like.
I noticed that too. We should be wiser and more aware. There are no good guys in Fiat Land. They are all bad actors simply under different flags, different political systems and different ideologies. Being a bitcoiner allows us to look beyond all that and see it simply as noise from a broken and dying Fiat world. Not good, not bad, not worth our concern.
When Samurai devs get locked up despite not committing a crime everyone gets why itβs fucked up but when Trump breaks constitutional and international law they love it because itβs the orange president π
Actually, none of those big names on here that support Trump cared about samurai wallet except for Walker, he's like the only one of them.
The rest of these people supporting Trump didn't give a shit about them.
Who are these big names actually? Iβd like to unfollow them
Dont you recognize anything ?!? Or do u play just the cute lil dummy? There is psyop going on and maybe you are part of it π
A lot of bitcoiners need mental alignment. Also rehauling like car engine.
And let me guess youre the one to do it.
The district court that handled the Samourai case is the same one that worked on the Maduro charges
Which - seems to me - tells us a lot
stupid. the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
what would have been better? let maduro stay and let venezoelan starve to certain death?
im not saying it will be better for sure under the US rule, but it had to change.
The US is not the world's police.
People are starving all over the world, is it the US military's job to fix those problems?
As if this admin cares anything about "starving Venezuelans" lol... They EXPLICITLY said it's all about the oil
Yes itβs not the police of the world. Yet, the US turned from βpolice of the worldβ to βbullying hegemonβ who doesnβt give a shit about optics anymore.
You are right, they donβt give a shit.
But itβs better to be dependent on a somewhat benevolent hegemon like the US who has proven to show mercy to former opponents (Germany) than getting robbed for sure by other powers who for sure were supporting current policies (RuZZia and the Chinese).
How do you feel about the US defeating the Nazis? Are you into regime change on that one? Or is that old shit not worth talking about?
Totally agree. You cannot talk about freedom money and at the same time cheer about kidnapping a sitting president.
weird
Alas :)
Some of the biggest nostr talking heads too
I know! So disappointing.
They even funded it buying Trump sneakersβ¦
Trump branded crocs
(Sorry for the ai slop)
Women really do need to shut the fuck up
Shame you think that because from your feed I can tell we agree on a lot of points. Oh well.
What is the war machine? Can you point to them?
Who are the people that go to war?
What does it mean to be "against the expansion of the petrodollar"?
How did the petrodollar come to be? What group of people wanted the United States to have a fiat currency?
Who is "the state"?
What is "regime change"?
Totally agreed. It's not even "the end justifies the means" situation, because we're very far from knowing the actual 'end'.
And dont get me wrong, i value what Venezuelans feel about him, but it's most probably a temporary byproduct of the situation. brings to memory how some Iraqis reacted to the fall of Saddam, before suffering for the following 20 years
What about the Eastern Europeans cheering on the fall of the Iron Curtain just before 35 years of peaceful prosperity?
No one ever remembers that one.
So you're confused too. Hold my beer!
remove the identity politics from any currency preference and peoples opinions will make more sense to you.
"Bitcoiners" is a construct
"Its all about the oil" is the NPC response.
Why? The admin has basically said the same thing
Most people bitcoiners and non disapprove that action.
π
Humans are humans, that you can count on!
Not sure I would consider those that agree with US military aggression and expansion βbitcoinersβ
Purity testing doesnβt sound very Bitcoin either.
Everyone is still learning
Bro a bitcoiner is just someone who uses bitcoin. Funny, people gatekeeping bitcoin are usually the first to roll out the red carpet for blackrock. "Money is for everybody!" Yeah OK bud.
Bitcoin itself has been State-coopted, would you not say? What do you think of it's traceability?
No surprise here, most are Trump and Saylor Simps without own reasoning.
Well, which is better: A despot destroying his country through totalitarianism that allows major crime to flourish, or a despot who cracks down on petty crime while allowing major crimes to flourish? One is Maduro, the other is Trump. Gonna have to deal with one or the other.
Sorry, should've said in the first place, "a despot who allows both petty crime and major crimes to flourish"
It has a name.
https://archive.ph/AFAyM
https://archive.ph/AFAyMAND it has an -ian and an -ism ending! Should make some waves⦠all it needs is a -phobic word to go with it!!
Of course The Atlantic came up with a name for it
Lol what the fuck ever.
When 2 mafia groups fight, itβs best to not get involved
Middle east, vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghan, Venezuela. Same script, freedom BUT inside there is oil, and rare earth minerals.
The funniest part about it is that you think thereβs a βwe.β

the election was stolen from the people of Venezuela.. and they know it..
Bitcoin was one of the only ways to escape Venezuela..
Madera only allowed people to have 200 bucks in account. trapping people in the country
block chain can secure free speech elections
Exactly
THESE PEOPLE ARE NEOBTCers & JUST CARE ABOUT PRICE. THEY WOULD RUN YOUR FAMILY OVER FOR A STATE FUNDED ETF & NEVER WANT TO TALK WHEN THEIR ORANGE MAN STARTS ANOTHER 7 WARS. FAKE BITCOINERS, BASICALLY SUITS IN A RETAIL STORE.

Truly is taking NGU to a whole new level.
Can you give any examples?
There aren't free lunches. When all bad things considered, it was worse for Venezuela to continue on a poverty spiral under Maduro.
Now at least there is a chance to recover from the last 20 years of destruction.
Been saying this, just because for once the interest of a politician is aligned with your does not mean he is now fren

I've seen Bitcoiners happy to drink leftist tears rather than for the regime change tbh.
Most Bitcoiners are just witnessing the mafias playing their games.
It's entertaining and for once civilian collateral damage are not such a big a thing which is the most important point.
Always good to see a communist scum in jail, even if it doesn't guarantee big changes for the people
Ya they just extended the life to the USD. itβs the pattern continuing.
From the looks of things trumps already blowing through that saving of the USD by expanding the military budget by 33%. Sp they kicked the can down the road for like 3 months on the fiat front.
