I don't think it's as big of an issue as all that. It's not common to happen but who keep wallets with substantial funds on a mode and doesn't have a backup of the seed or key? Is it a bad bug. Yes. Should it be fixed immediately. Yes. Whose fault is it for not having a backup though?
