Being the man my dog thought I was (also GFY) he liked knots
Gm nostriches and happy Jan 8th, when Bitcoin’s proof of work network actually mined its first block (the genesis block was more part of the code, but please correct me). Satoshi, likely did his own proof of work to get the code into working order following Jan3 (@excellion 🫡🙌), so only after this did the code start to run and he started the hashing algorithm. No idea how long the first block took to mine, but the second took about 90 seconds. 90 seconds to be issued 100btc, more than a good few treasury companies 17 years later. Note to self, don’t check pension (that is primarily mstr) value, just consider it’s lost to asset seizure. Thank you satoshi, and for all those uber bitcoin geeks, now waiting for that moment when a second cpu is added to the network, as Hal joins the party. 😍, big love buddy, look forward to a truncated bit of #runningbitcoin this year. This morning, weather sounds rough outside, may miss the walk to school with the eldest (she may choose the bus), #coffeechain with milk/cream treat and #catstr on lapstr!
Gm nostriches, Always a treat, both the stone ridge investor letter and @Guy Swann ‘s take on it afterwards. A great reminder that I’d made a reference that was clearly missing a footnote to solidify the connection with a letter from a couple of years ago (that made me cry, what ever, you’re crying). Very minor edits for getting a paperback edition out yesterday (removed the reference to Dug, my opsec is shit, but best keep somethings private), and then getting back into more serious revisions for edition 2. Hold onto your hats freaks, I have a slightly better idea of how the bond market works, so it’s gone from a dry read to positively arid! image
