grisly pixel art
DreamWeb got a generally lukewarm reception from many gaming mags at release, but almost all of them mentioned how extreme some of the depicted violence was. one of the early scenes in the game has some incredibly detailed animation worthy of a second glance in spite of the grisly violence. in particular, watch the can of pop thrown into the pool, and how it leaves little ripples before it burps out a final gasp of air all of this was done without the benefit of alpha transparency and layers. every pixel was animated by hand by david dew. #dosGaming #retroGaming
