I haven't stepped into a gym or touched a barbell since early COVID - early 2020. My wife got a gym membership so I decided to join her and just tested and pulled a 345lb deadlift. This is pretty impressive for me, a pencil neck lawyer. How? I've been swinging kettlebells 2-3x a week for the last 5 years and I guess that really paid off. My bench press, however, is another matter...
Staying motivated: Wake at 6am everyday; Up immediately; Double Espresso; Coffee w honey and a jug of water; Hit garbage: 22x6 kettlebell swings on the minute; Shower; say hello to family; 45 min commute to office, in by 7.45am; WORK; Leave office by 12.30/grab lunch/drive home; Work to 7pm; 7pm-10pm, family stuff. Discipline. Pay mortgage, stack sats.
