For the last 5 years she’s been a ‘boots on the ground’ kind of woman, travelling up and down the country to help raise the voices of other women after she found her own. She’s not a loudmouth or a ‘big character’ - she lets her poetry do the talking; and her words are as fierce as she is composed. She has no qualms about facing the mob so keen to silence and intimidate women - and always does it with a calm dignity and class, no matter how intimidating and unhinged they are. She never centres herself but chooses to put others first. Hers is a rare kind of strength and it’s been a privilege to get to know her these last 5 years The version of Aja that @Milli Hill appears to have invented doesn’t have much to do with the real-life Aja. Milli, it is deeply irresponsible to publish a piece indulging in your fantasy version of Scary Aja while acknowledging this spectre is nothing but a manifestation of your own paranoia I know that Aja works hard for her money. She would’ve saved up for her Filia ticket, her train ticket and accommodation. She would’ve looked forward to coming.
