As much as I'd like to stay up and wait for the ISS to land over Southern California, got to work in the morning. If anyone is staying up, take pictures. Not sure if there will be a sonic boom on landing? Anyway. If you see an unidentified flying object landing in the Pacific Ocean, it's astronauts returning from the ISS due to a medical emergency. Video from the family of the person shot by ICE this evening. The Spanish translation is correct (per my Spanish). They called 911 begging the police for help, before ICE shot into the house and wounded the man.

An agent then opened fired toward the house, hitting him in the leg. Let’s be clear about what that means. Law enforcement is not allowed to use lethal force just because someone runs. Law enforcement is not allowed to fire toward an occupied home. Law enforcement is not allowed to seize someone inside their home without a judicial warrant, absent extremely narrow circumstances. This shot was fired in the direction of a house with children inside. This was not a split-second traffic stop. This was not an imminent threat to anyone inside that home. If families are calling the police because federal agents are firing toward their house, the question isn’t whether this is normal. The question is how much longer the government will keep violating the Constitution before someone else is killed."

Mutual aid request from MN Governor, Response to Fascism
Notable to hear Minnesota Gov. Walz specifically ask people to give other people mutual aid. i.e. normally in the US this would be the job of state/federal government to support the citizens. Tactic acknowledgement (IMHO) that the government is not able to provide aid (legal constraints? funding constraints? etc. etc.) Quite unusual, imho. (usually "mutual aid" seen as an anarchist/leftist concept, as I understand it?).

New USB hub installed and running. Found a different power supply, plugged into the old hub, which seems to be still functional, so just the power supply was the problem. Need a way to check USB voltage outputs before putting it back in action... Maybe will slice open an unused/old USB cable, should have kept one of the bad ones around here. 🤔 #electronics
