Lives in the Highlands, often takes the dog for a walk in the hills. Completed the Wainwright fells. Now trying to do a few Munros and Corbetts. Linux since the 1990s, likes old land rovers, border collies, and enjoys taking mediocre photies. #Nairn #BorderCollie
We had a walk along the river at Poolewe. I'd hoped we'd get at least as far as Kernsary but the snow and ice on the track had other ideas. Icy with a hint of post-holing. Still we got out for a walk. #Hiking #DogsOfMastodon #ScottishHighlands
Observations on Life... driving, part 666. People who drive inconsistently, slowing down excessively for corners, speeding up on straights oblivious to that queue behind them trying to overtake. Today my watch said my sleep was "Good". Except I feel groggy and not firing on all cylinders. Definitely not a time to go for a drive. Yet, whilst out an about I see soo many people who appear to be driving like a zombie. Ah well, normal dog photo service resumed shortly.
Glas Bheinn - the grey green hill, can be climbed from the A894 near Loch na Gainmhich in less than 2 miles. Or as I chose on Friday, a 5 mile wander from Inchnadamph which passes through normally boggy ground and beside picturesque lochs to the rocky east ridge. contd... #DogsOfMastodon #BorderCollie #HillWalking #ScottishHighlands
It's not the murder of a US healthcare boss that's surprising to me it's that it hasn't happened sooner. The stories I see, mostly on reddit, of Americans with chronic illness being messed about in various ways is horrendous. For all its faults the NHS (E&W, Scot, NI) is a very special thing and we should never let it become privatized or 'insurance based'.
