Yes, Trump was motivated by geopolitical interest.
Yes, he will bring in oil companies that will exploit the country.
But these companies will have to employ people, and freer markets lead to a freer people.
From what I've seen, Venezuelans went to sleep living in fear and woke up to a brand new world full of hope. That's the thing with communists - they can only be removed by force once they get into power.
I wish Venezuela well, and I hope they can rebuild. Place your faith in Jesus Christ and in human liberty and sky's the limit.
