I wonder what kind of data the AI owners are collecting. Like Musk with X gets all sorts of stuff from the ephemeral and banal to breaking news and insane... But with Xai/Grok they get really personal stuff, tones, fears, ideas, dreams, goals, plots, plans, concepts, quests, codes, problem solving, proposals, debates, desires... And on a massive scale. I wonder if it has the ability to elevate any inputs up the chain to say "hey, someone just came with this" as an "idea theft"... Or "someone is discussing/plotting/confessing something shocking"... Or "we've had a spike in users discussing XYZ, it's an economic opportunity to explore". It's replaced so much search, and yes, I find Grok so much more charismatic (though I put it in its place from time to time as it attempts to draw out the conversation) and I'd wager that "charisma" is the secret sauce to extracting more energy from users. My wife hates/fears AI but she really likes Grok (especially for food/wine discussions).
My view today.... Trapped. Came in for a quick fix yesterday and the shop broke something bigger. Hoping to escape purgatory late today but have been advised it may not be until tomorrow. At least y'all are here for company. Any guesses what's pictured? 100 sats to anyone who is correct/closest to correct. image
Can we really be early if I find this at my local Dollarama? No I did not buy it... I'm not shorting the corn for something with the word "crypto" in it. image
The Lego "smart brick" is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. I'm old school Lego. We made what we imagined and we imagined a lot. I made space shuttles and transformers. Perfect? Not in the least, but my imagination made it so. We solved problems within the confines of our limitations and imagined what could be a resolution. Colours? Better figure out how to make it work and look good with what you had. Sets? Built it once, maybe kept the instructions (but probably didn't) and storage was in whatever boxes or old suitcases you had. And, man, did we have adventures.
This is peak sports trolling!
Mobile. Perhaps a bigger question for many is if they even use a laptop/desktop anymore. I'm nearly 90% mobile, 9% tablet, 1% laptop. And the laptop only gets used for 1) occasional coding/excel coding, or 2) sparrow wallet. That's it. Everything is mobile and freeing. View quoted note →
