Kids arranged an unscheduled sleepover. So now we are totally clueless what to do with a free evening.

Recently I am playing with various flashcard systems to help my oldest prepare for school. During one research session, I stumbled upon an account of someone using it to change his behavior. Like he had some issue with his wife, where he had mishandled communication. He realized that after the fact, wrote a flashcard with the situation/intended resolution and just rolls with that. I know that projecting intended scene outcomes is a powerful thing, but damn, it never would have occurred to me to use flashcards. I mean, damn! That would be something for a self-conscious sub aiming for perfection... I mean, that's what my friend told me.

I mean, I saw bean pizza on @Zap Cooking and thought about it like a joke recipe, but it seems like it's real. And since being the self-designated main cook (living to serve!), maybe I should get cast iron after all. Do they work with induction? View quoted note →

Much to the children's joy, it has finally snowed enough to do winter shenanigans. So I clocked out early and picked them up from school so they could get most of the short daylight. Let them 'convince' me to lend them the snow shovel, so they are now happy as clams, shoveling the driveway. Just cocoa & rum for me, please and thank you. #parenting is hard.

It's Schrödinger's cat all over again. So that means you can have ADHD, but no symptoms? Or am I so naturalized that I know how to overcome those symptoms? Because they asked if I actually do things, not if I feel the urge to do them... #adhd
