Catherine, Lady Darlington, is sleeping on the sofa in my room, and she just snored and farted at the same time. Cats - so like us. #CatsOfMastodon #CatsOfInfoSec #TheLadyCatherine #CatherineLadyDarlington
A couple days ago, my baby kitties had a mutual makeout party that stayed friendly. It was a valentine's day miracle. #CatsOfMastodon #CatsOfInfoSec #Caturday #TheLadyCatherine #nibbler #TheLadyCatherineAndNibbler #CatherineLadyDarlington
Neuro-ophthalmologist appointment in an hour. I've been looking forward to this one - depending on his answers and assessment, I'll either scramble to get new equipment and get back to work (squee!) or I'll have to ask him how much practical vision I've lost. Basically, I'm hoping he'll tell me if I'll ever get better, and how. But all I want to do is go back to bed. Dizzy. Blah.
Oof, just had a vertigo episode so bad that I almost put my hand through a painting trying to stay on my feet. Then I had to recuperate on the floor for awhile. That sucked. #vertigo #BPPV
I did one thing today - walked to get açai bowls for the family - and I'm wiped completely. Big medical appointments this week, though, including the neuro-ophthalmologist. He might be the one to tell me how to fix my terrible vision. An eyepatch will help informal eye use, but I think I need to either improve my visual function with special lenses or procedures or fairy dust, or I need to retrain as if I'm blind. If I can't use my eyes properly, I can't work as a sighted person.
Jeez, that was heavy to realize. I'm used to being disabled, but this is a weird one. My prescription is not super terrible, but I can't use my eyes properly to read or watch TV or whatnot. If the doc doesn't have a fix, I might officially have a visual disability. Hm. I don't like that.
