I guess I am a crypto anarcho municipalist, if that is a thing...
"What do we do as the world burns? We dance in the ashes. The dance doesn't save the world. The dance is what remains when saving is no longer the point." Báyò Akómoláfé
"First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out because I was not a communist. Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out for I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me." Martin Niemöller We are all one, and depend on each other, no matter our political opinions.
What ddo we teach our kids when we accept that they miss school only when they are sick (ideally with a medical certificate)? At best that they have the right to rest only once they exceed their limit (if they don't get paracetamol and "you're good to go"). At worst that they are not legit to define their own limits. What kind of adults do we get afterwards? ... #school #winter #childhood #virus
My first computer was running on windows for 5 years. My second one on macos for 12 years. My third one is the second transitioned to #linux. Fisrt installed kubuntu. Struggled to make everything work (especially wifi and touchpad gestures). Got insecure for adfing many packages and user rights, and fed up by the ui and the multiple layers of information (and forums) to go through. Learnt a lot though. Then started over with #ubuntu, ready to fight. But everything worked like a breeze, no further "manual"/cli action to take. It feels like windows vs. macos on ui and ux. On tracks for 12 more years? #opensource #foss #libre
