Ever wondered what would happen in a world where Ai + Robotics takes literally every job a human could do? Lets unpack…⬇️ Through logical advancements, Ai-Robots will inevitably service themselves, mine the ore to produce the metals to procreate, optimise their own code, and serve humanity. Now, extrapolate this concept endlessly into every facet of society and industry until a point where all requirements for human labour is consumed by Ai. Where does that leave humans? - A liberation from all labour? - Exponential advancements of technology incomprehensible to our current understanding? - Does this serve us positively? - Is this an opportunity for us to focus on what really matters in life (family, friends, experiences)? - Are we now as a species lost for purpose? - Enslavement to Ai? Questions to ponder… Economically speaking, in this future run 100% by Ai-robots, prices of goods of services over time would naturally fall towards the marginal cost of production - essentially making everything more or less achievable for free (eg: what does a line of code cost that was self-developed by Ai?). It’s important to note in this line of thinking that the natural state of the free market economy is deflationary, meaning theoretically innovation “should” push prices of goods and services lower over time via improved productivity/efficiencies/tech making our lives easier; however, in our current world we don’t see this occur… why? Fiat money printing. The fiat system is stealing the productivity gains which should have been passed onto you, the consumer. The only way I foresee us to achieve a prosperous economic reality with Ai is for humanity to exit the fiat system and transition to Bitcoin (which cannot be corrupted). I theorise that it would create complete liberation globally and allow us to enter into the Ai-age with confidence, and without fear of job-loss - as it would be theoretically possible to model our society for there to be no need for traditional jobs. I imagine that we would get more time to enjoy life on this planet without humans being a slave to the 9-5 and will allow us to focus our efforts on areas of passion, creativity, and interest. Yes, there are considerations to this concept and human free-expression to factor in; although as a thought experiment I find it interesting and something to strive for. I find us at a crossroad in our decision as a collective species looking towards our future and how Ai will affect us, but the choice is ours. I wholeheartedly believe as a matter of urgency that we must first fix our broken monetary system for the Ai-age to occur in our favour, OR we risk trying to outcompete a low-cost basis Ai agent who works 24/7 for practically $0/hr, all while our national debts spiral out of control and purchasing power erodes via inflation. Despite the negatives, it’s exciting times to see this new reality unfold and I’m hopeful humans make intelligent decisions in this emerging super-intelligent age. 🙏 (Credit to: Jeff Booth, and Lawrence Lepard for their ideas and insights that helped me write this post)
