TL;DR: Google will put on the squeeze for real in 2027. Time to move to GrapheneOS if you're not there already.
My non-technical wife has been running GrapheneOS for more than six months with zero issues. I bet she still doesn't know that it's not Android 😁
Kids are the same. I just handed everyone in the family a Pixel with a pre-configured GrapheneOS with Zapstore and a few other apps, told them that this is what we do things from now on.
