this is another radical reformation distinction problem. crazy how once you see it you can never unsee it.
if your ancestors were magisterial reformation, you think the state power aspect of christian history was good (or fine. at least, not antithetical to the mission.)
if your ancestors were radical reformation, you think that was all a huge mistake. a fundamental error.
then today we just put them all in the same folder called protestant.
its a huge difference. literally the difference between constantine being “its over” vs “we’re so back”.
