Mom of 3 on a meat based healing journey. Sharing faith, ADHD mom life, and simple food that actually works for our family. Podcast, Bible, and real talk as I figure this out in real time.
Day 11 carnivore update and a real-life eating out moment 😂 Went to the movies and asked how the wings were cooked. First I was told one thing, then later they said something completely different. My mom ordered a burger and we tried to add extra patties. Pricing got confusing and in the end she just paid $11 for two thin patties. Not ideal, but we made it work. Eating out like this can be tricky on carnivore, so I try to go prepared, ask questions, and have a backup plan. Sometimes it’s messy, but you do the best you can in the moment. Day 8 check in. Definitely feeling the lack of sleep today after staying up for the UM game, but that win was worth it. I honestly felt pretty rough before the game and wasn’t even sure I’d make it through the night. Then things shifted and surprised me. I talk about it a lot in my latest YouTube Short—you can check it out here: This carnivore reset has reminded me that progress isn’t linear. Some days feel good, some days feel tired, and both still count. Showing up on the harder days matters just as much. Did anyone else stay up for the game too? How’d you feel after that win? #carnivore #podcast #um
Day 7 of carnivore for me today and I’m feeling a little of what’s called the keto flu. Basically, it’s when your body is adjusting and you might feel a bit low or tired for a few days. I talk more about what it is and how to get through it in my latest podcast if you want to check it out: Anyone else noticing anything different this week?
Day 6 of 30. See full YouTube shirt here: I want to be really honest about how this feels right now. I feel a little achy and kind of low energy today. Not in a scary way, just that early adjustment phase where your body is figuring things out. I was already mostly meat based before this, but tightening things up still comes with an adjustment. That is the part people do not talk about enough, and it is usually the moment people think something is wrong or decide to stop. Nothing is wrong. I am still eating. I am salting my food. I am drinking water. I am resting more than usual and letting my body do what it needs to do. If you are doing this challenge with me and you feel similar, you are not alone. I would love to know what day you are on and how you are feeling today. Disclaimer: This is for informational and educational purposes only and is not medical advice. I was a mess for a long time. Anxiety all day. So tired I could barely function. Brain fog on top of microscopic colitis. I kept trying to fix it. Keto. Gut protocols. More veggies, less meat. Everyone said it was healthy and I kept feeling worse. In today’s podcast I share what finally started to help when I changed how I was eating and kept it simple with meat based meals. If you want to hear the full story, Episode 2 is on YouTube on the Kristin Carrera Podcast. Link: My free Carnivore Beginner Guide is also in my bio. Or you can get it here: kristincarrera.kit.com/free-carnivore-beginner-guide When you grab the guide you will get details about the free 30 day carnivore group challenge starting January 1st so we can do this together. I didn’t expect to actually look forward to reading the Bible every day. It’s been 4 weeks straight that I’ve opened it and read every single day. I’ve been using the Bible app to help me pray and stay consistent, and it’s become something I truly enjoy. The Bible is so interesting once you start reading it. It’s this incredible story that pulls you in and makes you want to keep going. I find myself wanting to know what happens next. Staying consistent with anything can be hard, but once you turn it into a habit it starts to feel natural. They say it takes about 21 days to build one, and I can see why. I’d love to connect with others who are in this same place, or even just thinking about starting. Has reading the Bible been on your mind lately? #biblestudy #habits #momlife #sahmom image
#GM Breakfast is the easiest meal in our house. Most mornings it’s eggs cooked in butter and some fruit on the side. Simple quick and everyone is happy. I used to overcomplicate mornings but keeping it the same has made life easier. What’s your go to breakfast? #breakfastideas #carnivore #animalbased #meatbased
