Violinist and teacher, building a homestead on raw land in between lessons and concerts. Fascinated by how we can develop resilience in our lives, in our families, in our communities. I'm excited about freedom tech and circular economies, and am deeply grateful for the devs and advocates who are helping build tools for a better future.
Not to add to all the drama about the ICE shooting, but it makes me sad to watch people get so outraged without seeming to question if they have all the information at hand. And somehow as humans we have such a hard time with holding two thoughts about one event. It's possible that: the driver acted unwisely - possibly recklessly - and could easily have prevented this tragedy AND that officers are trigger-happy and the militarization of law enforcement (something that's been happening for a long time in the US) is a serious threat to citizens To me the second has more weight and is much more of a long-term concern, but there's nothing contradictory about those statements. I see people clinging to one of them as if it is the total truth and contains all the relevant information.
