The US is split right now on enforcing a border. That's probably the most basic requirement of being a nation. Seems like we're F'd if we can't even enforce the border.

A slightly breakthrough moment with the wife. She's not against it, she just trusts me on finances and big picture stuff...and given my obsession, she has no pallet for the topic. I explained to her how two years ago, a very short time ago, we could have bought my house for 8 or 9 Bitcoin. Today we could buy my house for ~2.5 Bitcoin. Her: "wow that is crazy" Me: now you know why I don't wanna buy a new house anytime soon. The prices keep dropping.
