I wrote previously about the first performance of Mozart's Requiem. Still, I should add that initially, only two parts of the Requiem were played, the movements that Mozart had largely completed. Those are the Introitus (Requiem aeternam) and the Kyrie, which had been finished and only required orchestration. I will say my goodbye today with Pretty Yende and Benjamin Bernheim singing Verdi's La Traviata, "Libiamo ne' lieti calici", alongside the Orchestra and Chorus of the Paris Opera.
