In a Tuesday briefing to congressional staff, senior Pentagon officials disclosed that the suspected narco-terrorist vessel targeted last week by a U.S. MQ-9 “Reaper” firing an AGM-114 “Hellfire” missile in the Southern Caribbean had turned back before being struck and appeared to be heading toward Venezuela. According to attendees who spoke with CNN, officials did not provide confirmation that the boat was Venezuelan, whether the crew were members of Tren de Aragua, its intended destination, if the individuals were armed, or whether they posed an imminent threat to U.S. forces. image
Russian fiber-optic drones are now being used in ambushes, lying in wait for targets. A Ukrainian FPV drone recently filmed Russian UAVs connected to fiber-optic cables, positioned along a frontline road to strike passing vehicles. These drones can be guided either by a Mavic operator or through their own onboard cameras when visibility is good. With the spread of this “optics” technology, Russian FPV ambushes along roadsides have become systematic and pose a serious threat, even on routes in rear areas.
At least five of the roughly two dozen Russian one-way attack drones that breached Polish airspace on Wednesday are believed to have been aimed at a NATO military base in Rzeszów, Poland, which plays a key role in coordinating weapons deliveries to Ukraine, according to a senior NATO officer. At today’s 9/11 commemoration ceremony at the Pentagon, U.S. President Donald J. Trump announced that Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated yesterday at Utah Valley University, will be posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
The only lead so far on the shooter who killed Charlie Kirk is that he was dressed in black and wearing a black cap. His silhouette was spotted on the roof of a building located 130 meters ahead of the spot where Kirk was speaking with students at Utah Valley University, and after the shots were fired, a figure was seen running in that exact area. Yesterday, the FBI announced the detention of a suspect, but he was released during the night. The investigation is ongoing. image

The drills may include the use of nuclear weapons and intermediate-range ballistic missiles. NATO forces in Poland and the Baltics are expected to conduct their own exercises along the border in response. image
