Russia tonight launched a major bombing against the city of Dnipro in eastern Ukraine, with dozens of Iranian-manufactured “Shahed” attack drones targeting residential neighborhoods, shopping centers and hotels, including the Bartolomeo Best River Resort on the Dnipro River. Casualties from the attack currently sit at 4 dead and over 30 injured, though search-and-rescue and firefighting operations are still ongoing across the city.

Houthi-affiliated media in Yemen is reporting that General Abd al-Khaliq al-Houthi, the brother of Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi as well as Commander of the Republican Guard and several other units with the Houthi Ministry of Defense, was killed in a recent U.S. precision-strike alongside Houthi Chief of General Staff, Major General Muhammad Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari and several other senior leaders and officers in the Houthi Defense Ministry.

The Israeli Air Force launched a wave of airstrikes earlier today on Hezbollah military sites in Lebanon, in response to the launch of two rockets earlier today at Kiryat Shmona in northern Israel. The sites targeted in the strikes included Hezbollah command-and-control centers, terrorist infrastructure sites, launchers, and terrorists, in addition to a drone storage facility in the Dahieh suburb of Beirut.

There is no word yet on casualties or further damage to countries in Southeast Asia, though the threat of a tsunami is determined to be low.
Retired U.S. General Barry McCaffrey criticized the leaking of war plans via Signal by senior members of the Trump administration. According to him: “If it were a bunch of majors and lieutenant colonels coordinating an attack, they would all be fired and likely face criminal prosecution.”
According to the German newspaper BILD, Russia could attack Lithuania by this autumn (between September and December). In the article, citing experts and sources linked to NATO, the newspaper states that this could be the last summer of peace in Europe. BILD mentioned that this would only happen if two situations occur: Russia achieves victory in Ukraine or at least a highly favorable ceasefire brokered by the United States. The United States hints that NATO's Article 5 does not apply to Eastern European countries or to those investing less than 5% of their GDP in defense. In this scenario, Russia—claiming that the Russian population in Kaliningrad is at risk—would advance from Belarus through the Suwalki Gap, on the border between Lithuania and Poland, to connect Kaliningrad with Belarusian territory. Russia has announced that it will conduct a major military exercise in Belarus this summer. It was under the pretext of military exercises that Russia concentrated forces in Belarus before attacking northern Ukraine. image
