The Israel Defense Force (IDF) and Shin Bet confirmed that they conducted a precision strike on the second floor of Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. Just like the Arleigh Burke-Class Guided-Missile Destroyer, USS Gravely (DDG-107) which departed last week from Naval Station Norfolk for a deployment to the Gulf of America (Gulf of Mexico), to support Homeland Security on the U.S-Mexico Border. On the other side of the United States, USS Spruance (DDG-111), which just returned from a five-month deployment in December, departed today from Naval Base San Diego, for a deployment under U.S. Northern Command’s Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB). Also similar to the Gravely, the Spruance will be accompanied by an embedded U.S. Coast Guard Law Enforcement Detachment (LEDET).
Locals report a number of strikes by the U.S. Navy and/or Air Force against Houthi-controlled Hodeida International Airport alongside several other military sites in and around the city of Hodeida in Western Yemen.
