Blending in, minding our business… until someone forgets we’re peaceful *by choice*, not by weakness. 😴🐺 Bitcoiners: low-key until tested, then suddenly very awake. #Bitcoin #Bitcoiners #StayHumble #DontTreadOnMe #PeacefulNotWeak
Recently, I sat down with my favourite Canadian Bitcoiner, Seb Bunney, someone who has dedicated a large part of his life to helping others think more clearly about money. What stood out wasn’t just the conversation around Bitcoin itself, but how deeply monetary systems shape human behaviour. As Seb puts it, “everything is downstream of money.” When money is broken, incentives quietly shift. Time horizons shorten, trust erodes, and even personal decisions how we approach relationships, careers, and family become more transactional than intentional. Conversations like this matter because they zoom out. They remind us that money isn’t neutral infrastructure. It’s a social force that influences how we value our time, our work, and each other. Exploring these second- and third-order effects is where real understanding begins, far beyond charts or price action. Seb’s work is a reminder that understanding money isn’t about becoming an economist it’s about becoming more intentional as a human. If we want healthier relationships, longer-term thinking, and better outcomes collectively, it starts by examining the foundation we all stand on. Seb is the co-founder of Looking Glass Education and the author of two books, including the bestselling The Hidden Cost of Money. This discussion also touches on modern dating and relationships, showing just how far-reaching the impact of money really is. 🎧 Watch / Listen here: YouTube: youtu.be/dGu6rzRFvnw Fountain: Huge thanks to our sponsor HardBlock Get $10 when you sign up with Australia’s longest-running Bitcoin-only exchange:
I launched a new format called News Block and had to seriously get over myself 😅 I love beauty. I love polish. I love things looking cute. But between launching a podcast and shipping consistently, production has been… very not that. So for now: speed over perfection. This is a short clip from the very first Honest Money News Block, a 2025 highlights wrap before it becomes a weekly update. And yes… remember the Senator Gerard Rennick saga from last year? Hehe. In 2025, Bitcoin Australia dominated global headlines, not because of price, ETFs, or regulation, but because an Australian senator managed to reduce monetary theory to its most basic test: edibility. Senator Gerard Rennick went international after declaring Bitcoin a Ponzi scheme on the grounds that you can’t eat it. A devastating critique. Apparently, if an asset isn’t digestible, it’s worthless. It was a truly special time on Australian Bitcoin Twitter. 😁 Also excited to announce our season sponsor: HardBlock, the OGs of Bitcoin exchanges, helping Australians stack sats since 2014. If you’re in Australia and want to get started with Bitcoin, HardBlock is the country’s longest-running Bitcoin-only exchange. They’re offering a $10 sign-up bonus here: 👉 hardblock.com.au/join/honestmoney
Philipp, CEO of Lendasat, shares why he’s excited about Arcade, a new Bitcoin Layer 2 built on the Arc protocol. For small Bitcoin-backed loans, waiting for confirmations just doesn’t make sense. Arcade enables instant transactions, making quick, low-value loans actually practical. It’s early, experimental, and very new, but Lendasat is already building on it. 👀 Fast Bitcoin loans might be closer than you think. #Bitcoin #BitcoinL2 #Arcade #BitcoinLoans #ArcProtocol
