It's wild how AI has accelerated how I work. Integrations in Home Assistant can be similar, but none are ever exactly the same. With Claude I point it at a change for one integration and tell it to apply it to another integration and it succeeds 🤯 I did that 5x today and saved days of work.

There is an article going around that ESP32 chips have a backdoor. It's an undocumented software API. If you are writing code for the ESP32, you can run more commands. It doesn't allow anyone from the outside to just access what's going on in the chip. The use of the word "backdoor" was clickbait 🫤

Today I migrated my 10 year old NAS server to a new motherboard powered by Intel N100. After the transplant, Unraid didn't want to boot from USB drive. This trick from a forum post from 2021 solved it. Lesson learned: when you solve a problem, make sure it's indexable for future us!
