Tiny Schnauzer dog woodcarving is now painted and ready to show! Measuring in at approx 1in x 1/2in, carved in basswood and finished with teak oil before painting with watered down acrylics. This carving tested my knife handling abilities that's for sure! What do u think?

For my latest woodcarving I wanted to explore layering including hats and hair, as well as explore positioning the legs a little differently. Also to further my exploration of mouths without beards... How did I do?

After much effort and failed experiments I present my latest carving....a 1960s peace loving hippie! Carved from 1x1x3 inch basswood. Particularly pleased with how the long hair turned out as it's the first time I've attempted it )) What should I name him?
The lineup of woodcarvings is beginning to look like the Usual Suspects movie....which carving is your favourite and why? image
Another woodcarving finished...this time I aimed to improve my ability to carve mouths and expressions, as well as add more depth of cut to the carvings. How did i do?
