Latest woodcarving of an old fisherman wearing a tuque....really happy with this one as it's most image ly my own design )) Freshly oiled with linseed mixed with burnt umber colored paint.
Proof of work baby! All salty sea dogs and all slightly different. Learnt a lot, with improvements made from piece to piece, some I'm happier with the legs, others I'm happier with the face. Unfortunately I can't smash them altogether to create the ultimate version! The lightest one still needs piling and sanding. What do you think? Which is your favourite? image

Latest woodcarving almost complete....a salty seaman! Really pleased with the result even if the legs went a little wrong. I've improved my ability to carve faces and eyes which is something I wanted to work on. What does everyone think? image
