Currently we only have our direct download link, but #FDroid/#AltStore and Google Play/App Store (if they accept) are planned.

While opening the server to multiple users during the testing phase, we discovered and fixed a bottleneck in the distribution of activities from the relay's shared inbox. Now that the fix is in place, we'll be reopening registrations on the #Holos relay soon.

We're temporarily opening registrations on #Holos. Registration via relay web interface is no longer available - only the mobile app allows relay selection and signup. To test (Android): 1 - Download latest app:

Can you suggest accounts to follow that post frequently? Our goal is to optimize Home timeline loading during sync. Thanks for your suggestions

Running an ActivityPub server on your phone might sound complicated, but it doesn't have to be. You can just let it run with automatic maintenance, or dive into all the settings if that's your thing. Monitor storage, schedule backups, see what activities are taking up space, whatever level of control you want. Some might never open these screens, others check them daily. And that's totally fine. We made it automatic for everyone, but added all the tools for power users. That's your server #Holos

Yes, in the latest #Holos release you can compose while being offline. The app will automatically resolve mentions via WebFinger when you reconnect.

Custom domain support for #Holos is in development and coming along nicely! Use @user@your-domain.com instead of @user@holos.social, just point your DNS to a relay (changeable anytime). Actor URIs and post URIs stay stable forever, so switching relays requires no migration. Your RSA keys + domain = portable identity. Optional feature for users wanting relay independence.
