It's exhausting to receive emails/messages all day that you can tell were drafted by AI. - Often 4+ paragraphs long (and verbose) - Tons of non-specific language, generalized examples - They all have this "uncanny valley" feel If you're hoping for a response, please write as a human.
In 2016, @npub1fjrq...v786 wrote this piece about podcasting: With YouTube's recent ascendence, this part feels prescient now: "It’s decentralized, free, fair, open, uncontrollable by any single entity, as long as the ecosystem of podcast apps remains diverse enough that no app can dictate arbitrary terms to publishers." #podcast
Talking about innovation, nothing beats the overall impact of open protocols and open source. The "old" standards like TCP/IP, SMTP, and HTTP are what truly unlocked the economic growth in today's tech industry. Facebook, Netflix, Spotify all depend on and profit from open standards to this day. Ironically, these same tech giants that benefit from open standards increasingly push for walled gardens, proprietary APIs, and closed ecosystems.
